The current Coronavirus pandemic is placing new and unexpected pressures on us all – not least the sudden changes it’s brought to everyday family life.
Research from a range of agencies show that the stay-at-home and social isolation guidelines are putting huge pressures on family life. Parents and carers struggling with concerns around jobs, budgets, health and the welfare of family members whilst children are finding the constraints of suddenly being confined to the house, away from school and friends, a real challenge.
There are some resource packs below to help support family life and parenting. People of all ages are affected by anxiety and stress due to the Corona virus and we are all faced with the challenges of life during the ‘lockdown’.
This information will help to keep children entertained and includes advice on looking after everyone’s mental health, with advice on where to turn for extra help via the links to confidential helplines. The concise guides offer some of the best reliable free sources of information and advice to help support children, young people and their families.
Also attached is a 'menu' of activities to help structure your time. Try and choose, as a family or individual, five activities to complete a day.
