Science, Technology and Engineering Week

Science, Technology and Engineering Week

This week the children have been carrying out a range of activities to help develop their understanding of propulsion. To start the week, Miss French joined us from Trinity School to carry some experiments in our launch Assembly. She made bottles move across the hall, shot rockets through the air and set fire to hydrogen.

Following this, children investigated a variety of challenges, including the effect of friction on a balloon car and making a car to travel a metre in the fastest speed. Throughout there was collaborative working to overcome difficulties.

The highlight of the week was the visit from Sean Gould in his hill climb car.

To end the week, we invited in parents and carers to share the learning.
